Well, my name is Nikki, born and raised in Sydney, though have spent some time living abroad. I spent my 20's travelling the world (oh how I miss travelling), through this I learnt to visually document my experiences with photography. I have always found it easier to transpose my experiences through images rather than words.

During the week you will find me somewhere in the CBD working my corporate job. On weekends you’ll find me somewhere behind my lens, shooting either your family or my own, I have two beautiful littles ~ Ella (6) and Zoey (4) - I really have to thank them for my skills, endless hours of photographing them taught me how unpredictable kids can be but also how much I love to capture spontaneity and the pure happiness kids create - and without even trying. In 2019, I put my big girl pants on and found the courage to start Zyn Images.

I’m not a posy photographer - if you haven’t already noticed from my website - sessions with families do not involve a studio or flash photography, but rather doing activities they enjoy - together. I find this helps get better images anyway, the happiness is real and parents aren’t needing their kids to be so patient.

I like to play ‘the fly on the wall’ with my event sessions, I think it’s awesome that I get to be there to witness whatever is being celebrated and all the consequential happiness. Event photography is basically people watching, happy people watching - I mean, who doesn’t love people watching? In seriousness though, events always play out as a story, it’s my job to be there and visually capture that.

Being a good photographer requires a level of trust. I am honoured every time I’m asked to do a session, it’s quite a personal thing being invited into personal spaces or attend special occasions. So, to all my past, present and future clients - thank you.
